Privacy Policy

Your wallet stays yours.

Quilet is designed to help you understand your expenses without turning your financial life into someone else’s business. This policy explains what the app handles, where that information goes, and the choices you control.

No advertising or tracking Quilet does not build advertising profiles or sell personal information.
Your private iCloud Wallet data syncs through Apple’s CloudKit under your Apple Account.
Apple handles payments Quilet never receives your card number or App Store payment credentials.

Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to Quilet on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and watchOS, including its widgets, App Intents, Shortcuts, Spotlight integrations, notifications, and related App Store purchases.

Quilet does not require a developer-operated account. The developer does not operate an advertising platform or a server that receives the contents of your wallet. When iCloud sync is enabled and available, Apple’s CloudKit stores and synchronizes your data using your Apple Account.

In plain language: your expense data is used to provide Quilet’s features. It is not sold, rented, or used for targeted advertising.

Information Quilet handles

Information Quilet does not request

Quilet does not request your bank login, bank account number, payment-card number, contacts, precise location, photos, microphone, camera, health information, or advertising identifier for its core functionality.

How information is used

  • Save, edit, organize, and display the financial records you create.
  • Calculate budgets, remaining spending money, recurring commitments, installment progress, history, and trends.
  • Synchronize your wallet across your Apple devices when iCloud is available.
  • Show information in widgets and on Apple Watch, and perform actions you request through App Intents, Siri, Shortcuts, Spotlight, or system surfaces.
  • Schedule local reminders at the time you select.
  • Load App Store products, complete purchases, restore purchases, determine Pro access, and open Apple’s subscription-management interface.
  • Maintain reliability, migrate the local database, and surface synchronization errors.

Quilet does not use your wallet entries for profiling, advertising, data brokerage, or automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Storage and iCloud synchronization

Your Quilet data is stored on your device. Quilet uses Apple’s Core Data and CloudKit technologies to synchronize supported records through the private iCloud database associated with your Apple Account.

Apple processes iCloud data under its own terms and privacy policy. The availability, security, geographic processing, backup, and retention of CloudKit data are also subject to your Apple Account settings and Apple’s services. Turning off iCloud may stop synchronization but does not necessarily remove copies already stored on a device or in iCloud.

Quilet may use an Apple app group or other Apple-provided local containers to make relevant information available to its widgets and companion experiences on your devices.

Subscriptions and Tip Jar purchases

Quilet offers monthly and annual auto-renewable Quilet Pro subscriptions, as well as optional consumable Tip Jar purchases. Paid subscriptions are the only purchases that unlock Pro access. Tips support development but do not unlock, extend, or modify Pro access.

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Quilet receives product and verified transaction information needed to present products and determine entitlement status. The developer does not receive your full payment-card details, App Store password, or billing credentials.

Apple controls billing, taxes, refunds, renewal, billing retry, family or account behavior where applicable, and subscription management. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account settings. Restoring purchases asks Apple to synchronize eligible App Store transactions.

Widgets, Watch, notifications, and App Intents

Widgets and Apple Watch

Widgets and the Apple Watch companion may display budget or expense information and may let you initiate supported actions. Information shown there can be visible to anyone who can view or access that device. Use device passcodes and system privacy controls appropriate for your situation.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, Quilet schedules local notifications on your device at the time and frequency you choose. You can change the schedule in Quilet and revoke notification permission in system settings.

App Intents, Siri, Shortcuts, and Spotlight

When you invoke a Quilet action through an Apple system feature, the information required for that action is processed by Quilet and the relevant Apple service. Spoken requests, Shortcut history, suggestions, and system search behavior are controlled by Apple and your device settings. Quilet exposes only supported actions and their required results; it does not use those interactions for advertising.

Sharing and disclosure

Quilet does not sell or rent personal information. It does not share your wallet data with advertisers, data brokers, or independent analytics providers.

Information may be processed by Apple when necessary to provide iCloud, StoreKit, App Store, Siri, Shortcuts, Spotlight, widgets, notifications, device backup, and related operating-system services. Information may also be disclosed if required by applicable law or a valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the developer, or the public. Because the developer does not normally possess your private wallet database, the developer generally cannot provide content it does not hold.

Retention and deletion

Wallet records remain on your devices and, when synchronized, in your private iCloud database until you delete them or manage the related app data through Apple’s tools. Deleting an item in Quilet removes that item through the app’s data model and the deletion may synchronize to your other devices.

Deleting Quilet from one device may remove its local copy but may not erase synchronized iCloud data or copies on your other devices. To remove all synchronized data, review your iCloud storage settings in addition to deleting records or the app. StoreKit transaction records are retained by Apple according to Apple’s legal and operational requirements and cannot be erased by Quilet.

Your choices and rights

  • Review, correct, or delete wallet records inside Quilet.
  • Enable or disable notification permission and Siri, Search, Shortcuts, widget, and background behaviors in Apple’s system settings.
  • Manage iCloud availability and stored app data through your Apple Account settings.
  • Manage or cancel Quilet Pro through Apple’s subscription settings.
  • Contact the developer with a privacy question or a request under applicable privacy law.

The precise rights available to you may depend on where you live. Because most wallet information is stored under your control on-device or in your private iCloud database, the developer may not be able to access, export, correct, or delete it on your behalf.

Security

Quilet relies on Apple platform protections such as application sandboxing, code signing, device security, StoreKit verification, and CloudKit’s private-database model. No storage or transmission method is guaranteed to be completely secure. Protect your devices, Apple Account, device passcode, and backups, and keep your operating system current.

Children’s privacy

Quilet is a general-audience personal-finance utility and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required in their jurisdiction. The developer does not knowingly collect children’s personal information through a developer-operated account or server. If you believe a child has provided information directly to the developer, please use the contact information below.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Quilet’s features, Apple platform integrations, legal requirements, or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate channel, such as this page, App Store release notes, or an in-app notice.
